Dr. Peacock called yesterday to tell me that when I come in on Tuesday he is going to do a bone marrow biopsy to see if any of the cancer has gone into my bones. He then proceeded to describe how he will be trying to prevent any pain but my only thought was, "oh my god...you're going to stick a huge needle into my hip." Its okay though, with any luck they will have me half asleep before they do it and I won't even notice. Lets hope for that.

I've been thinking about donating my hair to Locks of Love. If I have a chemo treatment that makes me lose my hair anyway, why not give it away to someone who can use it before that happens? But then again, I might not have one of the treatments that makes that happen...but do I really want to deal with hair that is down to my butt when I'm going through this? I'm not sure what to do. I like having my hair long...so the idea of cutting it all off is kind of sad to me. But the fact that I might lose it anyway..but I really might not want to deal with long hair during chemo anyway. So if the doctor says it is a chemo where I won't lose my hair I'll have a decision to make. If he says that I will lose my hair, well I'll just get it cut off..but if not..I just don't know. I might just be best to have short hair for the next year.

I know its just hair...but it is still a hard choice.

Well, no matter what you decide to do, or which chemo you get, you have more wigs and more wig styling experiance than most! Just think, you could wear your Nagi wig all the time!

I donated my hair to locks of love once. It's a good program and the minimum donation is 10" so you could always go halfway if you wanted to.

I need to call you to figure out how to transfer the Otakon hotel rooms over to someone else's credit card. Let me know when a good time to call is and who will be taking charge of the rooms.

Or here's another thought. I know donating your hair is a wonderful thing to do, but you can also sell it. Of course that doesn't help with the decision to cut it or not...

Remember when you had to have your hair dyed black and it stayed like that a long time? You probably haven't had short hair in a very long time, tough decision.

Best wishes for Tuesday! Thinking of you! And yeah, I have an account here. Look how old my posts are, lol!

Wow, that is a big decision and let's hope things go for the best and you don't have to cut your hair, I was surprised to see how long it really was. If you do cut your hair, you're doing it for a good cause by donating it, because things like that go a long way for others. Best of luck to you as always Michelle.

so many choices are hard and I can't walk in your shoes, but when my aunt lost her hair the first time... she got a hanky.

as a cosplayer I grew a different appreciation for wigs and the spice they give that is more than you obviously have at the time.

I encourage everyone who entertains the thought of short or no hair to embrace it and give someone the chance to have what they don't.

I've donated a couple times to locks and even this past spring I ALMOST had my head completely shaved with others at an irish festival for a cancer awareness donation rally!

My hair is usually short so I don't get to donate much and it's treated so it's really crap... but for every person I've known that has benefited from Locks of Love, there are 2 that have learned of it from me and also donated!

doing a big cut is always hard, but think of how exciting it realy is! and you know you look good with short hair, I've seen you in short wigs, and you've got nothing to worry about!

*more hugs*

Ross gave his hair away to locks of love, but since then I've ready some so-so reviews about the legitamacy of that organization. You might also want to check out 'Wigs for Kids', which does the same thing except there's not so much bad press surrounding it.

I feel horrible... I've never actually seen your long hair. ;; Always in wigs. But donating it is such a wonderful thing to do and someone will always benefit. Again, that's your decision though, but no matter what, I'll be backing you. ♥

I'm always thinking of chuu, too~ ;_; My dad is, too. Heck, even my mom is (and she's only see you from pictures XDDD). So we're all thinking of you down here. ^^

You have lovely hair, and if you should decide to donate it, it will make someone very happy.

I've had short hair most of my life, so I can't really imagine what it would be like making that large of a physical change, but I bet you'll look great with shorter hair. ^_^

If nothing else, shorter hair is amazingly easy to take care, of you'll use so much less shampoo/conditioner. ^_~
