Jan. 9th, 2006 09:14 pmEven the most carefully of laid plans can go up in smoke.
My plans include a trip to Hollins next Wed and Thurs. The smoke that might prove to change those plans...my boss might be in the hospitol for two weeks getting tests and things done. I don't really know what is wrong but he has been sick quite a bit this year and so it could be anything.
I'm still hopeful that I will get to go up there. I won't really know what is going on until I see him tomorrow. Hopefully nothing will come up that will prevent me from going to Katsucon. It will all depend on what he needs done and what kind of time frame we are talking about.
This also worries me a little because it might mean he will be forced to retire or something soon and that leaves the store basically in my hands. I'm not ready for that. I keep telling myself I can handle it and I know what I'm doing. But the thought of it has me shaking in my boots. I can do every job in that store better then anyone...but I don't know if I can do his if it was presented to me right now.
But I'm getting a head of myself I think. I'm sure he will be fine and I have a little longer to learn the ropes. Thats what an optimist would say.
Too bad I'm a pessimist...

But in all seriousness... no worries, Michele. Things will happen as they happen, and I bet you'll be surprised at yourself and what you're capable of given the opportunity. ::hugs::
