Opinions!

I need some opinions. Alexiel has a couple lacings in the front of the corset..and I have been debating whether or not to actually put them in.

You can barely see them on the front there. It would mean adding about 8 more grommets straight down the front of the corset. I was intending on putting them in, but I'm so proud of the corset at the moment that I am afraid that adding these decorative grommets and tie might weaken the fabric I used more then it needs to be..and also take the chance of potential screwing something up when I add the holes.

So opinions! Do you think I should add them for accuracy sake? Or just leave my corset the way it is?

Since they are so hard to see in the image anyway I am almost tempted to just pretend they don't exist. The Alexiels that I have seen on coscom are about 50/50 in either doing them or not doing them..and some go a completely different route like a zipper down the front. So I wanted to see what you all thought before I made a final decision.

EDIT: After discovering a small hole in the fabric on one of the seams I have decided not to add the grommets in the front. It is too risky. This PVC type fabric is too prone to tearing and with all the pressure this corset it going to be under, I can't risk having more holes in it. I hate to not be accurate but I hate the thing falling apart even more. *sigh*

Maybe if I remake it using a stronger vinyl or something I will go for accuracy...now I have to figure out how to fix that hole and prevent others.
