I'm home, safe and sound. It was a fairly quiet weekend. I did Chess and the cosplay contest but beyond that I just hung out.

I did however compete with the Flame Kimono. I did..basically a glorified walk-on kind of skit. But I got:

Judges award for performance - Most Graceful
and

BEST OVERALL CRAFTSMANSHIP


WHAT!?! Yeah XD I have a nice trophy, $30 joanns gift card, and a sewer's kit. I couldn't even carry all the stuff. It makes me happy ^__^ No more competitions for Flame kimono.

Though I panicked like WHOA on Thursday because when I took it out of its bag there was a huge stain across the front. I don't know what happened. It took two days of cleaning, tide pen usage, and completely resewing the front binding to make it look presentable. I guess it was worth it though.

Oh and I love coming back to a comment on my costumes that basically says I suck. Some Russian cosplayer commented on my Infinity costume on coscom saying that it was bad. Like thanks..really. You're commenting on a costume from like..several years ago that I Know isn't my best..but do you really need to put a comment like that on the costume's page? Thats kind of rude..

But whatever, I'm not going to let that bring down my mood.

Took just one tide pen to get the majority of the color out, plus lots of water..and I was even trying to use hand soap and shampoo. Basically anything with cleaning properties that I could think of. But the Tide pen was certainly the most useful.

Oh man, it figures that the small con I'm all "pfft" towards ends up being one that gives actual decent stuff with their awards. XD I may consider going next year if folks I know go again.

And ugh! I hate when people do that! I mean seriously. How rude! I had one guy comment on my AC Cloud costume on ACP years ago being all "Your wig is wrong, the shoulder armor looks like fabric, the wolf is off" etc. etc. And it was like "dude, wtf, the shoulder armor is not fabric and this is an old costume anyways. And the wig isn't off O_o;" And so I deleted the comment and then months later I brought the costume out of the back of my closet to bring to Nekocon on a whim (hadn't worn it in 2 years at this point) and post some rather nice new photos I got of it on ACP and he comments again with the same shit! So had to block him and I believe he was eventually banned. >> But seriously. Why do people nitpick your costumes like that? Especially old ones that you even say weren't your best work. Baaah.

Sorry, didn't mean to rant but I hate people like that. And besides I believe there's a rule on cos.com against negative comments so if you haven't yet, you could report her for that.

I thought about reporting it but I'm just like..whats the point? It doesn't do anything. I notified him about a nasty comment someone left on a photo in a friends gallery once and all they do is remove the comment. So I'm not going to worry about it.
