Okay, so Momocon happened. At first I was afraid Katsucon crowdedness was going to continue since the registration line was INSANE. And I think there were about 5000 people trying to register in this one small building. (At least that is the number I heard was floating around). And that is about 3000 more people then I expected to be at the con in general. I had no clue this was as big as it was. I didn't know I was going until the week before. I figured, free con? Eh, why the hell not.

And boy am i glad I did. I had no clue what I was wearing. I literally made the decision the night before. Well except for one costume. That which was revealed yesterday. I had been working on that pretty steadilly since the moment I decided to go to the con.

Anywhere, here are (briefly) what moments stood out in my mind as making this con awesome



Okay, so Saturday I started out in Sena, figuring I could wear that for a few hours and then change into Fai for the contest. We got to the con about 10:15 or so and tried to figure out the registration line which was winding everywhere around the building. Once we were finally in line (which I don't understand why registering is important when the badge is free..but whatever) I think we accidentally cut about four times to get through the line in about 1/2 an hour. We found out later that the wait for a badge was about 3 hours. I think we some how merged a few times earlier then we were supposed to.

Anyway, after we got the badge we headed down to where the cosplay sign up was. I figured Iwould get to select the time I wanted and could take my time in getting changed and what not. I thought wrong. They gave me the 12:15 slot...which at that point was only 1/2 an hour away. So we rushed back to the hotel and I got changed (leaving Sena on underneath and just throwing on my coat and wig) and we headed back to the con. I got in the cosplay line and found out I was there just in time. I was entry #30 and they were judging entry #26. Phew.

The judges were awesome. So incredibly nice and the one judge even gave me a high five. XD They really liked how I did the design work. I left feeling pretty good about myself and didn't care whether I won anything or not. I was just happy to have a good judging. (I didn't get anything, but I'm not complaining because they stuff that won was really awesome and I recognized a lot of the ones that won as people that won at AWA)

Once judging was done we wandered around but it was incredibly difficult because of the sheer amount of people in line trying to get their badges. We did a lot of sitting around waiting for the line to disappear and people to spread out. Unfortunetly for us it was raining so a lot more people were staying inside then normally would have.

The rest of the day was pretty quiet. I got in line for the cosplay around 5 and talked with Zipchan a lot since she was in line next to me. She ended up winning Best Novice for her Medusa costume, so yay for her! I was very happy for her since she hadn't won anything before ^_^

Then I got out of my incredibly hot Fai costume and back into Sena. As I was walking down the hall I suddenly got glomped from behind. This guy signaled for me to follow him and so I did. I stopped at the entrance of the room he went into which turned out to be one of the artist alley rooms. As I was standing there I looked over to where he was talking to one of the artists. She turned and saw me and let out a yell. She got incredibly excited and signalled for me to come over. She had a whole bunch of Eyeshield 21 art and took my picture and we started chatting. She said she wanted to make a Sena or Monta cosplay. The guy that had signaled me over said that he went as Hiruma to AWA but that the hair dye had made his hair green instead of blond XD! he bought me a Sena sticker from the artist. While I was standing there another lady came up and handed me a pin with a football on it. i was getting all kinds of free stuff in the artist alley XD The rest of the night everytime he saw me he glomped me. It was kinda weird since all I could think about was Hiruma glomping Sena XD!

We stayed a little longer and then headed to the hotel to eat and sleep. We went to Arby's for dinner and on the way back Dark and I started talking about coming out and getting some fun pictures in the dark and rain. We decided it would be a great way to start off my secret cosplay! I was very good in that I managed to keep it a secret right up until I had it on. Only a couple people guessed it before hand.

I put it on and we went to wait for an elevator. As the elevator arrived I was standing there waiting. The doors opened and this lady started to walk out. She saw me, let out a yelp and jumped about three feet in the air backwards into the elevator. Then she got all excited and came out because she recognized who i was! She asked Dark to take a picture of me and her with her cellphone. It was pretty awesome. Only five minutes into the costume and already i had scared someone XD! She wasn't even a congoer, just a regular hotel guest.

We finally headed downstairs after that. First we started out in front of the hotel.



The hotel had these sad little signs saying the flowers would be back after the drought. After this weekend..I think they will be well on their way to returning.


I tried to make it look like I was climbing the pole, but instead it juts looks like I am pole dancing XD


I tried to find a ledge or something to climb onto, and we found a big pot XD

After that we went back into the hotel, thining we were satisfied with our photo adventures.
I got undressed and then Dark spotted a courtyard area behind the hotel. So I got back into it and headed downstairs again XD




There was this strange moon sculpture and so I knelt down and looked through the hole


I battled a great gold fish that was taunting me!


I hide in some shrubs to spy on people


And then we started to head back to the hotel. On the way I found a chocolate shop, but sadly they were closed.


We also said it was time to stick it to the man..so we did






As we were just about to enter the hotel this group of Atlanta residents were walking by. We passed by without talking or anything, but then one of the guys in the back spotted me, and it went something like this:

Guy: OH MY GOD IT'S RORSCACH. DUDE. Someone get a picture. Anyone got a camera? Get a picture! *runs over to me and poses*
*friends come over and take pictures with their phones*
Girls: Get out picture too! *three girls proceed to surround me*
Girl #2: You aren't going to rough us up are you?
Me: *surpressing laughter, continues to pose as guys take pictures*

They then went on their merry way. I don't think any of them had any clue I was female XD I didn't say a word. It was hilarious. One of my greater con memories.

When we got in the hotel, I took a picture next to the car that was sitting there


Then we really did call it a night XD

On Sunday I got into Rorschach. I got this picture with Dark's sister. Rorschach has officially replaced Rude and become a member of the turks. Villians beware!


We wandered around some and ran into Chibi! he didn't know it was me until I started to harass me XD I think he should dress up as Dr. Manhattan. Black light blue body paint and glow in the dark thong for the win.

We basically just spent Sunday wandering around, but I got a picture with my journal.


but then I got my hands on an even better journal. World watch out!


I left around 3 to head home. On the way home though I got really really lucky. I got off on an exit to get some gas but it had a funky no return ramp thing. So I had to take a little side road that ran next to the interstate for a few miles in order to get back onto it. Well as I was driving down this road I noticed an accident that had just happened. Police and ambulance was already there and the traffic was already starting to get backed up. Then i noticed the car. It was the exact car I had been traveling behind when I got off to get gas. I remember because it had a very unique paint job (one of those sponsored type cars) and so it was easy to see it was the same green and white car. I was like...holy crap that might have been me and now I'm missing all this traffic.

So hurray for getting off for gas when I did. Otherwise it might have been very very bad. I don't know what happened but the whole front of the car was crushed.

And that was my con! I really did have a lot of fun and I might consider going back next year. It was a nice relaxing convention, with some hilarious times.



And finally: D.Grayman stuff: Does Allen's first uniform have a slip up the back? I think it looks like it does in the photo I have, but I'm not 100% sure. I'd like to know before I go slicing it up -_-'

OMFG. You were at Momo? I think I actually took a pic of your Rorschach too. You were the only one I saw with a notebook. =P And you didn't say hi! I was the staff member with the kitty ears and pink shirt.

I remember thinking when you took the picture: Wow..she sounds and looks like Mimi...nah couldn't be her. XD Damn...I should have spoken up. It was hard to distinquish people's faces through the mask so I figured it was just throwing me off. >_

LOL. :) It's cool. I kept hoping that someone from Hollins was there. :) Also probably going to AWA this year, but not staffing it. Plus, as my husband put it, we haven't seen each other in like 6 years, so I can't really expect you to recognize me. ^_^

Well I am definetly going to AWA So we will have to hang out! I'll probably be wearing Rorschach again for one of the days and also my Sakura dress for the contest. Among many other things XD We shall have to make plans!
