Progess for Katsu is slow but steady. Income is non-existant and has me in panic mood which is not good since I have more pressing matters like my (hopefully) final catscan on Thursday. I've been applying for jobs but here just isn't anything...and I owe Mazzini's my financial life right now, but lets face it $7 an hour is not going to keep me afloat.

I always hated job hunting...and how do you explain the 7 month gap between jobs? Its not like I can say, "Oh yeah I had cancer and am still recovering from chemotherapy, and it could come back so you might lose me for many months at a time, but when I'm healthy I'll be here on time everyday!"

Yeah...that will get me hired.

Yes that is 11 costumes...and yes I plan on wearing every single one of them. When? Uh...thats a very good question. A lot depends on other people

See...so really 4 of those costumes I will be in for a very short period of time...that means I really have 7 costumes, and thats like..Doable XD

yes...I am trying to justify this insanity...And who knows maybe I'll drop some of those when I realize just how impossible it is ^^;;

*hugs* I don't know what laws your state has but I was under the impression that they can't discriminate based on health status if it's a condition like say HIV or cancer. I might just be making stuff up but I'd make sure you're protected in some way. I'd imagine a good boss wouldn't hold cancer treatment against you to explain the 7 month gap...it's much better than having to explain you just spent 7 months in prison right? :)

Yeah I don't think they can ask, but it doesn't stop me from worrying U_U I'm think I'm going to put that I have been at the restaurant this entire time..but if they call to check on it..well who knows what will happen.

I got the fabric today by the way! I love it! If my mom didn't wrangle it away from me to wash, I'd have slept with it as a blanket tonight. XD *is freezing*

Yay! Glad you like it and it works ^^ They had like..10 different shades of pink X_x I held the reference image up to the fabric and had like 5 bolts lined up in a row trying to pick the closest ones XD The lady helping me said I picked the right colors though.

When I was still working here as a temp and Stephani was ready to hire me, I couldn't hide the reason why I was missing so many days and going to so many doctor appointments. I didn't think it fair. So I went to her and confessed my medical condition and all the tests I'd been undergoing and all the general suckiness my life had become, and that I wasn't sure this wouldn't continue for quite some time.

This is roughly the end of our conversation that day:

Me: So I can understand if you don't want to hire me. I've missed a lot of days and I don't know how many more I may miss and I'm sorry about that.
Stephani: And I'm sorry you didn't get paid for the days you missed. And one day you might get married and want to leave for your honeymoon, or get pregnant and have to leave to have a child. We're not going to not hire you because of "one day".

So keep that in mind when you're applying for jobs. The unexpected in life happens - this was not something that you could control, and people know that. Don't stress so much about it. Things will work out.
