I made it to 27
Dec. 20th, 2008 12:07 amI gave my boss the picture. I chose quote #3 since that was the overwhelming favorite. I thought she was gonna cry ^^;; I took a picture of it that I'll post later.
Well I survived to see my 27th birthday. Never would I have thought that might have been in question but then again I never thought I would have a life threatening illness.
It was a day like any other with a couple birthday wishes thrown in. That truely was the extent of it. I did go to my work christmas party and it was there that I got sung Happy Birthday to. No candles to blow out, no presents to open. I remember when birthdays were something you looked forward to as a kid. Now its just another day, you're just officially one year older.
I thought this year I would do that big party. Get everyone together and actually celebrate. That was before I was crushed beneath the weight of physical illness and financial burden. That only means I am that much more determined to throw one hell of a party next year.
Bah, this should be a happy post. Birthdays are supposed to be happy. And I am happy...just very very bored with my life right now. And I did get a present...well it isn't here yet but my father ordered me a Zune MP3 player with a car adaptor.
OH! And I did get flowers! Thank you Sonnet! That was an unexpected and pleasant surprise when the UPS guy arrived today. I was expecting the player or the bulb for the TV (ours blew two days ago and my father ordered a new one). The last thing I expected was flowers. They are pretty and sitting in a vase on the table.
(Hersha: Tell your sister I got it)
In non-b-day news, I got my new appeal date. Its at the end of January. I am still not optimistic that I will succeed in getting Medicaid but I keep trying.
Ah well...thats it from me I guess.
