I have decided to do the "Relay For Life" that is held in Elkin every year. Does anyone want to be a on a team with me and do it?
I could just do it as a survivor and run one lap..but I think it would be fun to do it with a whole group of friends and people that have supported me through all of this.
From what I understand, this is a 24 hour event and each team has to have at least one person on the track at all times. You camp out at the park/school/etc. that the event is taking place at and take turns doing the relay throughout the day and night.
If you want information on it: http://www.relayforlife.org/surryfoothills
The team collects sponsors/donations and that money goes towards the fight against cancer.
So who wants to come to Elkin the weekend of May 1st and run with me? Or walk rather..cause I doubt I'll want to run XD We will have the Ultimate Anime Team of Awesomeness...or something XD
But yeah..let me know if you are interested in being on a team, or if you want to just donate to the team I will post that info later.
I've never done anything like this before...but I guess sence the whole cancer community and doctors and everything have helped me through this...I feel like I should give something back.
