Appointments Galore
Dec. 16th, 2008 12:19 amIts going to be a very interesting week. Yesterday I went to the FYE in Winston for their cosplay event. I won a gift card for my Ed Elric costume that I promptly spent XD That was actually the relaxing part of my week.
Today I went to Winston to talk to the legal aid people about my appeal. They told me to come back on Wednesday to talk with one of their lawyers because he wants to represent me and wanted me to get my appeal pushed back so that he had time to prepare for it. So I called to get my appeal pushed back but who knows whether they will actually do that or not, so I may still have to go to my appeal (lawyer or no lawyer) on Thursday.
Today I also got my car looked over to get a few things fixed up and working like new since within the first 30 days any issues I have I can get fixed for free. So they are going to align the front wheels, caulk the holes the front lisence plate holder made, and a few other little things. I also got my plate today so I am officially legal. But I'm going to have to bring the car back after they order the parts so that they can install everything.
I have to get some things mailed out this week and I have to work tomorrow and Saturday. She wanted me to work on Wed and Thurs but now I have to tell her I can't because of my various appointments to try and get my medical bills paid.
I got my bloodwork done today and it all checked out fine. With that done I'm one step closer to being cancer free. I may be buried in debt..but I'll be healthy damnit.
I've been applying to jobs but there really isn't much around here and I just know I'm going to have to go back to CB, even though I am not going to be strong enough to carry the food trays or anything. I may ask to be in the retail store instead of the restaurant so taht I can maybe avoid any lifting.
This week is going to suck simply because everyday is going to be a constant reminder of the year I've had and the serious amount of financial debt I am rapidly accumulating.
