tohma2004I think i will try to ride Phoenix again tomorrow if it isn't raining...lets hope I don't die.
1. How did you find out about anime conventions?
Dee mentioned it once and I was like..eh, that might be cool. But then when she went to japan and I joined the anime club, Kamui was like..."come to the anime con!" And I was like..Okay!
2. What and where was your first convention?
Nekocon 2002 in Virginia
3. How old were you at your first convention?
...*does the math* 20 I think
4. Did you cosplay at your first convention, and if so, as who?
Of course ^_^ I was Seguchi Tohma from Gravitation. Two versions of him. The feathered coat for Friday and Saturday and the green suit for Sunday. And our cars cosplayed too. They wore Nittle Grasper Tour bus designs all across them. And made it as an icon on Fansview XD
5. How many conventions have you've attended presently?

6. What was your favorite convention and why?
wow...um...Yaoi-con 05 or Nekocon 06 or Otakon 04...good grief don't make me chose

8. If you have a dream convention that you want to attend, what is it?
Anime Expo..just once to see what the fuss is about or one of the conventions in Japan
9. Do you attend convention events, such as panels, karaoke, etc.?
I almost always go to the Masquerade and the music videos. Sometimes I attend a panel if it is really interesting sounding.
10. Have you've ever entered masquerade? And if so as who and did you win?
I've been in quite a few masquerades ^^ Otakon 2003 and 2004 we did a Fruits Basket skit (Tohru wrote) and I was Hatsuharu. Nekocon 2003 we did an Escaflowne walkon and I was Dilandau and our group (mostly Folken) got an Honorable Mention. Katsucon 2005 we did a Naruto yaoi skit that I wrote and I was Sasuke. Otakon 2005 we did a Tsubasa/Peacemaker crossover that I wrote and I was Fai. Nekocon 2005 we did a Gravitation skit that I wrote and I was..of course..Tohma ^_^. Katsucon 2006 we did an Advent Children skit (Xana wrote most of it and I wrote the end) and I was Cloud. And Nekocon 2006 I did a walkon as Byakko and won Best Novice Craftsmanship ^_^
11. What do you usually buy in the dealer's room? If so, what do you buy?
Gundam Seed figures and sometimes magazines. thats usually it
12. Do you buy anything in the artist alley? If so, what do you buy?
Every once in awhile if something catches my eye. I would always buy Digikoomi's chibis cause they are adorable ^^
13. What was the longest-traveled convention you've driven to or flown to?
I drive to Otakon every year and that used to be a 10 hour trip for me when I lived in New York. I fly to Yaoi-con but that only takes about 5 hours.
14. Have you met your favorite English voice actor?
I don't really like English voice actors so I don't go to their panels
15. Do you generally go to conventions with friends? Or your special someone? Or both?
I go alone to see my friends ^_^ that is the only time I get to see them usually.
16. Have you've met a special someone at a convention and then hooked up there, or after?
Nope
17. Do you regret going to any specific convention? And if so, why?
No, even though Katsucon has made me question my sanity once in awhile.
18. What conventions do you have planned for next year?
Ohayocon, Katsucon, Animazement, Anime Mid-Atlantic, Otakon, Yaoi-con, Nekocon and maybe Kawaiicon if I can convince enough people.
19. Have you cosplayed your dream cosplay yet? If so, who?
hmm...I have several that I would like to do like Kougaiji from Saiyuki Reload and Cain from Trinity Blood. Wouldn't really say I have a dream cosplay though.
20. Do you go by your forum name/pen name/nick name at cons?
my cosplay.com name is the name I use for everything and is the one I like my friends to use ^_^ Tohma is just what I am used to hearing.
21. Do you have a convention that's on your birthday?
Nope. Although Ohayocon is close ^_^ But I don't even know of any cons in December.
22. What is your current favorite anime/manga? Have you cosplayed it yet?
I have a couple. Bleach, Getbackers, Naruto, Gundam Seed and Destiny...I really have a lot of favs. If I like the show then i cosplay it. I don't think there has been a favorite show of mine that I haven't cosplayed from...no wait...Initial D. I probably will never cosplay from Initial D XD
23. Do you make your own cosplays, thrift them, or get them commissioned, etc?
Depends on the character. Most of them I make. Several I thrift. But I never commission.
24. Do you have any retired cosplays? If any, why are they retired?
Black outfit Sasuke...have you seen that thing? Its made out of vinyl, it was meant as a gag for the skit..and its rediculous. The rubber suit will never see the light of day again. Kiba from Wolf's Rain is also basically retired cause it requires me to wear jeans, which I hate. And I say that my blue outfit Sasuke is retired but...thats only temporary. Watari can probably be considered retired because straightening my hair is too much work. There are probably a couple others, but I like to think that I'll wear them again someday.
25. What cosplays do you have planned for next year? Or if there's alot of them, what series?
