So I'm still thinking about cons. I really like the Hawaii-Japan idea if I can convince enough people to go with me. >_>

But in the meantime I've been looking at Ohayocon. Columbus, OH. Would cost me roughly $150 to fly. I'm looking at that versus driving the six hours. (I know what NY is like in winter...I don't want to take my chances with OH). Plus my parents don't really want me to drive there in january.

I figure I could fly in on Thursday and fly out on Sunday night or Monday. But I would need to stay someplace...obviously the con hotel is the most desireable choice...but I would need to find a few roommates cause I can't afford a hotel all by myself.

Because of the current situation at work I have about a weeks worth of PTO that I will need to spend in January. Since I don't want to sit around and do nothing for a week...I might as well think about going to a con. Blackout period ends the 26th of December so January is the only time I have left. I need to use up my time before the 31st of January or else I lose it. And I certainly dont want that.

So who wants to join me? Its only a few months away.

Don't know if you read my LJ at all but I was wondering about the same thing. If you don't mind rooming with me, I'm sure we can try and get a nice little gathering together. I'd really like to hit a con before I go to Japan and see some people, so let me know what you think ^^

Okay, I've been trying to convince my friends here to go to Ohayo-con with me. And some of them were wondering where they could stay if they went. Would it be possible for them to join in on the con room? I'll make sure they are 100% sure of going for you, so if you find other people first let me know. ... right now I forget who was interested in going. Steven is actually willing to cosplay with me ( XD ) so if you (and everyone else who's going) are willing to have a guy in the room (he's gay, so it's not like it would matter to him to see people changing or something) make doubly sure to let me know. I'm determined to get him to come to the con. >.<

And he might be willing to cosplay Naruto. XD

P.S. He's the same height as me, so Sasuke would be taller still. But only a little.

Masayume: I don't mind rooming with you ^_^ I think it would be a lot of fun! It was your post that actually reminded me ^_^

Susan: I don't mind rooming with a guy. Dee's brother went to the first Otakon with us and he was fine with 9 girls in the room...then again why wouldn't he be I guess? XD Its up to the others in the room whether they care or not.

I'm really not good with the whole organizing thing for cons I don't know ^^;; Guess I need to research whether the con hotel is sold out or not first and how far it is from the airport and how I would get from the airport to the hotel and about a million other things...
