I fell - An Otakon 2010 con report

tohma2004I'm going to warn you..this entry is long and includes pictures. But that is just how involved this weekend was.
Thursday
I guess really I should start with Wed since that is when the weekend officially started with its craziness. I expected Evenstar to get there around ten at night..but at about ten I got a phone call saying that she was about three hours away still. She also told me that she was alone instead of coming with one other person because that person bailed out an hour before they were scheduled to leave. So now instead of three in the car there would only be two. So we decided to try and squeeze Jensen and Solveig (I may have spelled that wrong..lets just call her Micheal) into the truck with us so we could all save on gas and parking.
So after only getting two hours of sleep (because I was finishing up reading the Angel Sanctuary manga since I figured it would be a good idea to at least have some idea what the hell I was doing) I got up and we got the truck loaded with our stuff at 8AM. It was so packed that my suitcase ended up having to be strapped to the top of the cover. The trip was fairly uneventful and we got to Richmond at 1 PM (on time). It took a lot of tetris work to fit all our stuff into the truck (keep in mind this includes 5 sets of wings) as well as the four passangers. After somehow managing to do it, we left there by 1:30, got some food at Taco Bell..which was a mistake. Never attempt to eat Taco Bell in the car while on the interstate. Just saying.
We get running into traffic and it was slowing us down a bit but it was nothing too major. Until we got near Baltimore. Needless to say our 3 hour drive turned into 6. At once point we were getting so annoyed by the drive that we were basically praying for rain so that the girls in the convertible in front of us would get soaked. They kept looking back at us and I can only imagine it was because he had a huge scythe sticking through the center of the truck.
We got to the hotel at 7:30. We managed to get everything upstairs in just one trip thanks to having lots of extra hands that showed up to help. I got dressed into Frau and we headed off to get our badges. Once I had obtained my uber awesome Press Badge we headed to Hard Rock to get some dinner. On the way this drunk (I’m assuming drunk..but perhaps not) guy asked me what my scythe was. I told him it defeated evil and he like backed away and told me to go after Jensen instead XD
Then in Hard Rock the waiter asked what it was and I told him that if he didn’t give us good service we were going to use it on him. He was actually really nice. While we were at dinner though Evenstar called to say that our Adam was stuck about an hour away because they gave her the wrong bus tickets. So she had to go and retrieve Adam which meant we weren’t going to get to practice the skit at all. But I told Evenstar that I would work on getting things choreographed and they could just learn it when they got there.
By the time we got back for Hard Rock it was a little after midnight and Adam and Evenstar were not that far away, so we decided to wait for them and practice a little. When they got there we all put on our wings and found a patio to practice on. Unfortunately as we were getting ready to practice Adam realized that she had forgotten the back piece that holds all her wings on. This was very bad..but luckily a friend of hers was able to break into the place where the wing holder was and got it packed up on Friday and express mailed it to her. She got it Saturday morning. Phew. It was also at this time that we determined that Adam was “Gundam God” because her stilts squeaked when she moved. It was actually pretty hilarious.
We were up until 4AM practicing the skit. X_X

Friday
I woke up and started the 2 hour process of putting on Kougaiji. Once I was dressed I headed to the convention and used the skywalk to get in at the top of the fountains. Which was nice because I didn’t have to wait in the obnoxiously huge line that was waiting outside the convention center. Not sure that was because I entered where I did or because I was press. But either way it was nice. At 10 there was supposed to be a Saiyuki shoot but I only ended up running into a small group so I snapped a couple pictures before heading back to my room to change into Tamaki for the ouran shoot.
Headed to the shoot and met up with the 2nd Tamaki in the dress. There was actually three during the course of the weekend. Go figure. Doesn’t matter, I still enjoyed running around in it. I headed up to the photo suit and got some pretty good pictures of it that I will have to post at some point.
I ended up going to lunch with her and the Haruhi. They were really nice. Shortly after though I had to go back to the room and decided to change into the flame kimono for awhile. While in there I managed to find Pam and hung out with her for awhile. She was in her 4th Doctor outfit and we just sat at the upper part of the fountains and talked while she worked on her knitting. I was annoyed to find out that they hit no traffic coming up while we dealt with tons. WE CAME FROM THE SAME PLACE. And they ended up getting there the same time we did even though we left like..6 hours earlier. WTF.

But while we were there I spotted some awesome MKR cosplayers and I was like..I think that’s..but I didn’t know they had MKR costumes..that can’t be them. I’m just going to sit here and watch..but wait..Umi’s coming over! Hey it is them!! So yeah that was my thought process as I spotted Starlighthoney and Breathlessaire
So pretty~
After chatting with Pam for a bit we split off and I headed to my room to get changed YET AGAIN. Ug. I got into Seishirou and headed to the CLAMP photoshoot where I met up with Edgar dressed as Fuuma.
I also got to beat up on my pupil.
And I also had a picture where I killed everybody. I hope to find that one since I didn’t have it on my camera. I’m sure someone must have it..
After that it was time to practice the skit again. So I headed back to the hotel and got into complete Alexiel gear since we were doing a dress rehearsal to make sure there wasn’t any costume malfunctions. My right wing kept wanting to fall out for some reason and I still can’t completely explain why since I hadn’t had that problem before. Also my middle wing decided to be stupid and wanted to lay flat against the other one. I have a feeling it got a little damage in transit and so the inside pieces aren’t doing their job anymore. I need to fix them.
Anyway, before we practiced a few of us headed to the convention just to hang out for a few minutes before having to practice. Me, Setsuna, Jensen and Michael went off while the others got ready. It was a good test run of the outfit and my wing didn’t pop out at all while we were walking around.
We then went up and started rehearsing. Some pretty crazy stuff happened while we were up there and much screwing around ensued between practices which included an epic slide done by Katan to get a picture of all the angels sticking dollar bills in my garter thing.
This time at least we were done around 1 AM.
Saturday
So the whole account of this day was supposed to be: I fell.
But I shall go into the insanity that as this day.
Woke up and got into Frau and headed to the convention. Frau was incredibly well received and recognized. More so then I ever would have expected. One person even told me that I had made their weekend. Now I know there was at least 2 others walking around during the course of the weekend but just hearing that made me feel good. I was kind of proud of this easy little costume.
I even found a Teito to harass..a male one at that. I told him he had to kneel though because he was too tall XD
He was the only 07-Ghost person I saw when I was in this except for an Ayanami who I don’t think even noticed me. Shame.
Anyway, headed back to the hotel room around 11:30 to get changed into Alexiel. It took me all of about ½ an hour to put everything on and instead of taking up space in the hotel room I decided to just put my wings on and head to the convention center. Unforuntely I was alone so I was a little nervous about going alone. I found Adam in the lobby of the hotel trying to finish her costume so I hung down there for a few minutes. That was when Katan showed up and he agreed to walk around with me just in case my wing fell out. We went up to get some things before heading out to the convention.
As soon as we got there we were immediately surrounded. I blame the wings. People are obsessed with wings. We had barely gotten down the escalator when we were swarmed for pictures and we tried our best to get out of the way. While we were having pictures taken two people that were apparently dressed as Setsuna and Sarah came up to us and asked if we were going to the gathering. We said that we planned on it but we had to go to our rehearsal before hand. These two kind of followed us around as we were getting pictures taken and were getting a little annoyed because apparently people were ignoring them even though they were in the same series.
It was at this time that I not only Found Bur but also Vikki! Bur left a nice body print on the window during our meeting. Vikki was dressed as an uber awesome Doctor. Sadly this was the only time I got to see either of them. That was kind of the theme of my entire weekend. Brief meetings.
Almost as soon as we headed back inside to cool off, the fire alarm went off. Katan and I were like…oh shit. It was almost time for our judging and Evenstar and the others hadn’t called to say they were on their way. Everyone was forced out of the fountain area and we called the others in a panic trying to figure out what to do since they could no longer use the skywalk or anything. Finally we decided to just haul ass down to the arena and hope that they got there as well.
It was a pretty long walk for three wings and a leather corset and I was dying by the time I got there. And of course..they weren’t there yet. We told every staffer we could find that they were coming and that the fire alarm had screwed everything up. Luckily they understood and eventually Evenstar and the rest showed up. We rushed to get Adam put together and ready to rehearse. There was some major difficulties but eventually we were assembled and headed to the stage for our instructions. We got to practice the skit and then we went back to the hallway to wait for our judging. By then we were already late to the Angel Sanctuary photoshoot and pretty much figured we weren’t ever going to get to go back to the convention. Finally we had our judging and decided that we should go back for the ½ an hour of free time that we had. Me and Setsuna left first so that I could go to the photo suite and drop off my forms. We actually were pretty mobile and got to the convention way before the others did.
When we spotted them coming around the side of the fountains we went out to meet them but I tripped and broke my sword as I was walking up to them. Luckily some nice con goer gave me the piece that had broken off. We got Adam all assembled in the fountains and then had our own little photoshoot since we had missed the other one. It was at this time that I saw Tess for about ten seconds. She looked so pretty~ I wish I could talk with her but my group was having some technical difficulties.
Adam eventually had to get out of costume because she was overheating so we let her cool down while we figured out dinner. Setsuna and Michael ran off to get food while the rest of us tried to figure out how to fix Adam’s wing which had snapped when we were trying to get her through the door of the convention center. Eventually it was decided that paperclips were what was needed and her boyfriend ran off to find some while we made the trek back to the arena.
We sat around at the arena until it was time to go into the holding room. The set up was nice..the sound was suck. We sat with the Trinity Blood group which was amusing since they actually were doing a skit to the song we were originally going to do our skit too. Yay for changing that…they were really nice though. Evenstar duct taped my wings into the harness so that we were sure they wouldn’t fall out..but that also meant that I couldn’t take them out at all while I was in the arena. And my original plan had been to remove them until it was time to do the skit..ah well.
The skit went well..until the verrrrry end. And that was when I fell. I kind of went down on my knees but still..not good. I went to kill Lucifer and Adam and the stage was so slick and my boots have no traction so I just slide. I was afraid I was going to fall on the other two..but luckily I didn’t. And I managed to get back up fairly easily. But then once I was standing I had this “Oh Shit” moment where I forgot what I was supposed to be doing. And I looked around and was like “Oh crap, everyone’s dead!” So I remember what came next and went around resurrecting everyone as was my job.
I was embarrassed. Oh so embarrassed. I’ve never fallen on stage before. And before we went on we “prayed to Adam” that my wing would stay in..only to have that happen. Ah well. We ended up winning a judges award but I can almost guarantee you it was all for Adam. I mean..yeah. Impressive much? The best part though…our prize was a little Gundam! It was excellent~ So Gundam God won a Gundam. Ah the irony.
Lyn and I snuck into the arena to watch the X Japan concert. It was great. I thought they were going to make me cry. They played the piano and violin and performed two songs. It was amazing. I really wish I lived closer to NY or DC so I could go to their concert this fall.
while we were standing there waiting for the concert to start a girl in a Shuichi costume came up to me. The conversation was kind of like this:
Girl: Do you cosplay Fai?
Me: Yeah. *small laugh* lots of different Fai outfits.
Girl: Do you mod at Compound?
Me: ...*quirk eyebrow* Yes?
Girl: Hi. I'm Shuichi-mun.
Me: *HOLY CRAP* Wow, hey!
So yeah..apparently she recognized me from the stage. I was like wow..thats..wow. So yeah we chatted for a moment and then she went back to her seat to watch the concert. I was just kind of surprised she recognized me from so far away.
After the skits Starlighthoney and Breathlessaire gave me a juice box. It was yummy. I savored that thing for like..ever.
Then it was back to the convention center for epic photoshoot times with Lionboogy. We were all pretty exhausted though so it was going to be a rather tame shoot. Unfortuntely first we had to get there. As the awards were handed out and things ended the staff immediately tried to kick us out. We gathered all our stuff and went to help Adam get all of her costume but the arena staff was being really rude and wouldn’t let us go to help her get it. Instead they kicked us outside and we had to wait while Corey yelled at them and went to retrieve all of Adam’s things. Once we finally had everything we headed towards the con. And then…
My wing fell out. I shit you not. And the duct tape was still attached. I was like..great. Everyone’s hands are full, we’re outside..and I’m molting. It took a lot of work to get the wing reattached because of the duct tape issue. Once I was back together though we continued on to the center. We decided to find a quiet spot to wait for the others since they had to take all of Adam’s stuff back to he hotel. As we were standing around Pam (my sister) found me though and told me the most amazing convention story ever.
It goes something like this:
Pam: I was at the Dr. Who shoot and we were about done and one of the doctors came up and was like.. ‘So..how would you like to hook up with a random stranger?’ and I said no and handed him a sour patch kid because I was out of jelly babies. He took one and said, ‘Best rejection ever. Sweet and sour.’ And I just kind of ran away and got changed.
Awesome.
After awhile I decided I better look for the others since it was taking them way too long. I headed down the hallway and almost immediately spotted them…standing all of about 100 feet away. Derp. So I told them I would go get the others and headed back over, only to discover Lionel had found our group. So I told him where the others were and he went to retrieve them while I went to go to the spot that Lionel had pointed to. Once we were all assembled it was photoshoot time.
I never knew I could kneel and crawl along the floor in that costume…I do now. Lionboogy photoshoots..always a work out. Oh and Lyn reminded me of the creepers that kept coming over. It was really strange. These guys just kept coming over during our shoot and kind of looming around and then they would take a picture and kind of..loom around. One even held his phone up to my ear as he played the Angel Sanctuary drama CD on it..at least I think that is what lyn said it was. I was..fairly confused and frightened by the fanboys.
After the shoot we headed back to the room so that I could peel out of my costume (I’m not kidding..you wear a leather corset and gloves for 12 hours and see what you do)) and promptly took a shower and collapsed in bed.
Sunday
Woke up, loaded the car, got dressed into Tamaki and headed out for my photoshoot. Had photoshoot and got a call from Deathgod saying she was on her way. Yay! After the photoshoot I went to the fountains where I met up with my fellow Ouran peeps and we had another little photoshoot.
Sadly I had to endorse Coke, though we all know where my true loyalties lie.
Then the call came that Deathgod was here! So I collected my stuff and headed towards the front doors. But as I was headed that way, InfinityWulf found me! And he carried my shoes. Cause my feet hurt. Such a good butler~
Found me a Deathgod then started to head towards the dealer’s room. Wandered around in there with her then headed out to see the Home Made Kazoku concert. Got to sit up at the front for a few minutes with the press people, snapping pictures..but then they cleared the front and I’m still not sure why. But we were getting hungry and I hadn’t eaten since Saturday afternoon so we headed to the food court. That was the first time all weekend I had actually been to it. Shock!
The good butler got me some food and we sat around talking for awhile (me, evenstar, death god, and infinitywulf) until Jensen called to say that they were heading there to eat. Since we were done we decided to meet them halfway and work out our plans for the rest of the day. The original plan was to leave by 2..but it was already 2 and they were just going to eat. So instead while they went to eat we decided to chill at the fountains.
We plopped down at the fountains and eventually Lyn and Katan and everyone started to gather around us until we had a happy little pile on the floor. Quadrain crew showed up too and snapped hilarious pictures of us.

Then I decided to put on Evenstar’s Lightning wig because I just didn’t have enough pink.

And..finally
Then it was about 4:30 and the convention people kicked us out. So I said goodbye to Deathgod and everyone and we all headed to Evenstar’s truck. I got changed, we rearranged and then headed out. We hit significantly less traffic on the way to Jensen’s house which was good. We dropped her off and then began the never ending trek back to my house.
Just as we were getting hungry we ended up on a road that had absolutely no food. Finally we managed to find a McDonalds and got some dinner. We were so bored and tired and desperate to stay awake that we started calling random people to try and get them to entertain us. Finally Kaleigh called and we amused her with our constant bickering. That took us all the way to my house where we arrived at a little after 1AM.
I stayed on the phone with Kaleigh until about 4AM while Evenstar passed out somewhere around 2ish.
And that was my Otakon XD
It was long..adventurous..exhausting..I don’t even know how I really feel about Otakon because I’m still recovering. I got the con plague and have been miserable since Monday.
And now..the quotes of the weekend. (Apparently I am funnier then I think because most of the ones people remembered were said by me)

-”Harder” -couple seconds later “I think you are in.” (Me when katan was putting in my wings)
“What is this white stuff, I don’t even have porn.” (me as frau and strange white thing on pants)
“I don’t want boobs.” (me in regards to Alexiel having big boobs)
“Lucifer likes my crotch” - me
Corey: “I’m taking him.”
Me: “He always comes back.”
“Is that Tohma? Oh my god you’re a girl.” - just about everyone who saw me
“What do I do? What do I do? Oh shit, everybody’s dead! Must Resurrect!” (Me explaining after I fell)
“They don’t’ care about what they are wearing. Angels don’t sweet.” (me in regards to why we have to wear leather)
“You sunburned me with the hairdryer.” - evenstar (when drying the vein paint on her body)
Jensen: “Do you want a drink?”
Me: *phone rings..answers..its evenstar about Adam being an hours away, hangs up* Yes, we definitely want a drink.

These two kind of followed us around as we were getting pictures taken and were getting a little annoyed because apparently people were ignoring them even though they were in the same series.
It was at this time that I not only Found Bur but also Vikki! Bur left a nice body print on the window during our meeting. Vikki was dressed as an uber awesome Doctor. Sadly this was the only time I got to see either of them. That was kind of the theme of my entire weekend. Brief meetings.
Almost as soon as we headed back inside to cool off, the fire alarm went off. Katan and I were like…oh shit. It was almost time for our judging and Evenstar and the others hadn’t called to say they were on their way. Everyone was forced out of the fountain area and we called the others in a panic trying to figure out what to do since they could no longer use the skywalk or anything. Finally we decided to just haul ass down to the arena and hope that they got there as well.
It was a pretty long walk for three wings and a leather corset and I was dying by the time I got there. And of course..they weren’t there yet. We told every staffer we could find that they were coming and that the fire alarm had screwed everything up. Luckily they understood and eventually Evenstar and the rest showed up. We rushed to get Adam put together and ready to rehearse. There was some major difficulties but eventually we were assembled and headed to the stage for our instructions. We got to practice the skit and then we went back to the hallway to wait for our judging. By then we were already late to the Angel Sanctuary photoshoot and pretty much figured we weren’t ever going to get to go back to the convention. Finally we had our judging and decided that we should go back for the ½ an hour of free time that we had. Me and Setsuna left first so that I could go to the photo suite and drop off my forms. We actually were pretty mobile and got to the convention way before the others did.
When we spotted them coming around the side of the fountains we went out to meet them but I tripped and broke my sword as I was walking up to them. Luckily some nice con goer gave me the piece that had broken off. We got Adam all assembled in the fountains and then had our own little photoshoot since we had missed the other one. It was at this time that I saw Tess for about ten seconds. She looked so pretty~ I wish I could talk with her but my group was having some technical difficulties.
Adam eventually had to get out of costume because she was overheating so we let her cool down while we figured out dinner. Setsuna and Michael ran off to get food while the rest of us tried to figure out how to fix Adam’s wing which had snapped when we were trying to get her through the door of the convention center. Eventually it was decided that paperclips were what was needed and her boyfriend ran off to find some while we made the trek back to the arena.
We sat around at the arena until it was time to go into the holding room. The set up was nice..the sound was suck. We sat with the Trinity Blood group which was amusing since they actually were doing a skit to the song we were originally going to do our skit too. Yay for changing that…they were really nice though. Evenstar duct taped my wings into the harness so that we were sure they wouldn’t fall out..but that also meant that I couldn’t take them out at all while I was in the arena. And my original plan had been to remove them until it was time to do the skit..ah well.
The skit went well..until the verrrrry end. And that was when I fell. I kind of went down on my knees but still..not good. I went to kill Lucifer and Adam and the stage was so slick and my boots have no traction so I just slide. I was afraid I was going to fall on the other two..but luckily I didn’t. And I managed to get back up fairly easily. But then once I was standing I had this “Oh Shit” moment where I forgot what I was supposed to be doing. And I looked around and was like “Oh crap, everyone’s dead!” So I remember what came next and went around resurrecting everyone as was my job.
I was embarrassed. Oh so embarrassed. I’ve never fallen on stage before. And before we went on we “prayed to Adam” that my wing would stay in..only to have that happen. Ah well. We ended up winning a judges award but I can almost guarantee you it was all for Adam. I mean..yeah. Impressive much? The best part though…our prize was a little Gundam! It was excellent~ So Gundam God won a Gundam. Ah the irony.
Lyn and I snuck into the arena to watch the X Japan concert. It was great. I thought they were going to make me cry. They played the piano and violin and performed two songs. It was amazing. I really wish I lived closer to NY or DC so I could go to their concert this fall.
while we were standing there waiting for the concert to start a girl in a Shuichi costume came up to me. The conversation was kind of like this:
Girl: Do you cosplay Fai?
Me: Yeah. *small laugh* lots of different Fai outfits.
Girl: Do you mod at Compound?
Me: ...*quirk eyebrow* Yes?
Girl: Hi. I'm Shuichi-mun.
Me: *HOLY CRAP* Wow, hey!
So yeah..apparently she recognized me from the stage. I was like wow..thats..wow. So yeah we chatted for a moment and then she went back to her seat to watch the concert. I was just kind of surprised she recognized me from so far away.
After the skits Starlighthoney and Breathlessaire gave me a juice box. It was yummy. I savored that thing for like..ever.
Then it was back to the convention center for epic photoshoot times with Lionboogy. We were all pretty exhausted though so it was going to be a rather tame shoot. Unfortuntely first we had to get there. As the awards were handed out and things ended the staff immediately tried to kick us out. We gathered all our stuff and went to help Adam get all of her costume but the arena staff was being really rude and wouldn’t let us go to help her get it. Instead they kicked us outside and we had to wait while Corey yelled at them and went to retrieve all of Adam’s things. Once we finally had everything we headed towards the con. And then…
My wing fell out. I shit you not. And the duct tape was still attached. I was like..great. Everyone’s hands are full, we’re outside..and I’m molting. It took a lot of work to get the wing reattached because of the duct tape issue. Once I was back together though we continued on to the center. We decided to find a quiet spot to wait for the others since they had to take all of Adam’s stuff back to he hotel. As we were standing around Pam (my sister) found me though and told me the most amazing convention story ever.
It goes something like this:
Pam: I was at the Dr. Who shoot and we were about done and one of the doctors came up and was like.. ‘So..how would you like to hook up with a random stranger?’ and I said no and handed him a sour patch kid because I was out of jelly babies. He took one and said, ‘Best rejection ever. Sweet and sour.’ And I just kind of ran away and got changed.
Awesome.
After awhile I decided I better look for the others since it was taking them way too long. I headed down the hallway and almost immediately spotted them…standing all of about 100 feet away. Derp. So I told them I would go get the others and headed back over, only to discover Lionel had found our group. So I told him where the others were and he went to retrieve them while I went to go to the spot that Lionel had pointed to. Once we were all assembled it was photoshoot time.
I never knew I could kneel and crawl along the floor in that costume…I do now. Lionboogy photoshoots..always a work out. Oh and Lyn reminded me of the creepers that kept coming over. It was really strange. These guys just kept coming over during our shoot and kind of looming around and then they would take a picture and kind of..loom around. One even held his phone up to my ear as he played the Angel Sanctuary drama CD on it..at least I think that is what lyn said it was. I was..fairly confused and frightened by the fanboys.
After the shoot we headed back to the room so that I could peel out of my costume (I’m not kidding..you wear a leather corset and gloves for 12 hours and see what you do)) and promptly took a shower and collapsed in bed.
Sunday
Woke up, loaded the car, got dressed into Tamaki and headed out for my photoshoot. Had photoshoot and got a call from Deathgod saying she was on her way. Yay! After the photoshoot I went to the fountains where I met up with my fellow Ouran peeps and we had another little photoshoot.
Sadly I had to endorse Coke, though we all know where my true loyalties lie.
Then the call came that Deathgod was here! So I collected my stuff and headed towards the front doors. But as I was headed that way, InfinityWulf found me! And he carried my shoes. Cause my feet hurt. Such a good butler~
Found me a Deathgod then started to head towards the dealer’s room. Wandered around in there with her then headed out to see the Home Made Kazoku concert. Got to sit up at the front for a few minutes with the press people, snapping pictures..but then they cleared the front and I’m still not sure why. But we were getting hungry and I hadn’t eaten since Saturday afternoon so we headed to the food court. That was the first time all weekend I had actually been to it. Shock!
The good butler got me some food and we sat around talking for awhile (me, evenstar, death god, and infinitywulf) until Jensen called to say that they were heading there to eat. Since we were done we decided to meet them halfway and work out our plans for the rest of the day. The original plan was to leave by 2..but it was already 2 and they were just going to eat. So instead while they went to eat we decided to chill at the fountains.
We plopped down at the fountains and eventually Lyn and Katan and everyone started to gather around us until we had a happy little pile on the floor. Quadrain crew showed up too and snapped hilarious pictures of us.

Then I decided to put on Evenstar’s Lightning wig because I just didn’t have enough pink.

Then it was about 4:30 and the convention people kicked us out. So I said goodbye to Deathgod and everyone and we all headed to Evenstar’s truck. I got changed, we rearranged and then headed out. We hit significantly less traffic on the way to Jensen’s house which was good. We dropped her off and then began the never ending trek back to my house.
Just as we were getting hungry we ended up on a road that had absolutely no food. Finally we managed to find a McDonalds and got some dinner. We were so bored and tired and desperate to stay awake that we started calling random people to try and get them to entertain us. Finally Kaleigh called and we amused her with our constant bickering. That took us all the way to my house where we arrived at a little after 1AM.
I stayed on the phone with Kaleigh until about 4AM while Evenstar passed out somewhere around 2ish.
And that was my Otakon XD
It was long..adventurous..exhausting..I don’t even know how I really feel about Otakon because I’m still recovering. I got the con plague and have been miserable since Monday.

Corey: “I’m taking him.”
Me: “He always comes back.”
“Is that Tohma? Oh my god you’re a girl.” - just about everyone who saw me
“What do I do? What do I do? Oh shit, everybody’s dead! Must Resurrect!” (Me explaining after I fell)
“They don’t’ care about what they are wearing. Angels don’t sweet.” (me in regards to why we have to wear leather)
“You sunburned me with the hairdryer.” - evenstar (when drying the vein paint on her body)
Jensen: “Do you want a drink?”
Me: *phone rings..answers..its evenstar about Adam being an hours away, hangs up* Yes, we definitely want a drink.
