I now own Transformers 2 on blu-ray! Because it came with the special Optimus Prime head and I am all about the toys and gimmicks >_> but we didn't own a Blu-ray player so I wasn't going to be able to watch it. Minor detail right?

Soooo...we also totally bought a blu-ray player today so we can watch it.

LOL If I wanted a blu-ray player, things go along the line of (and mind you this is all in my head):

Do I need one?
But I want one.
Yes, but do I NEED one?
Does it matter?
But the monies...
But I WANT one.

You crack me up. ^__^ If it were me, I'd have to go with a PS3. I've been debating getting one for quite some time because of the Blu-ray capability as well as game-playing ability, but the newer reduced-price versions are no longer backwards compatible. Since I have PS2 games I enjoy, I see no point in purchasing a PS3... just yet. ^_~ But I'm sure something will come out and I'll have a reaction very similar to you and your family. "I really want this game. Guess I better buy the platform!" XD

Kingdom Hearts 3 will probably be on the PS3. T_T And Final Fantasy XIII. And Persona 5.

The only reason I haven't done it yet is because I have no money and because until those games come out there aren't any decent RPGs to play on it (IMHO).

I could honestly care less about the Blu-ray thingummy. :: shrug ::

Same here. There's not much on the PS3 that I care enough about to buy it (not yet, anyway, but I know the day will come). And the time will come when DVDs give way to Blu-Ray, but it will be a much slower conversion, and I still have plenty of time before things start being produced Blu-Ray only.

I kept trying to tell my father to go the route of the PS3 instead..but there was something about a input/output it doesn't have and it would also mean we would have to buy games..and those are expensive XD He's claiming he is saving us money.
