Con Post. Really
I'm gonna keep this kind of short because quite frankly...I don't think many people care at this point what I do at cons XD!! But for my own reference here we go.
First..bullet points
-3 Epic photoshoots (D.Grayman, Weiss Kruez, and Hitman Reborn)
-Lost my Halloween Sasuke pin *tear*
-Met many new and awesome friends!
-Spent about 3 hours wandering alone and being bored on Saturday
-Costume switch into epic Lavi
-Sweated off about 30 pounds
I guess my con really started on Wednesday. Went down to Statesville and met up with GreatSG who I drove with to Raleigh. There we stayed with his friend and on Thursday morning we picked up one more person and drove to Baltimore in his van. Trip was fairly uneventful...but being in Baltimore was definitely not.
Met up with my roomies Zipchan and crew. Dropped off my stuff and then headed to the Radisson to meet up with Evenstar. Put on her Lavi costume and headed to the line which was already stretched the entire way around the convention center. Took us about an hour and a half to get our badges and when we came out of the center the line stretched back and forth about six times in front of the center before going around the outside. It was crazy. We went and grabbed a couple pictures at the fountains before running back to the Radisson to change into Yami. Unfortunately my costume was still at the Days Inn so I attempted to find the hotel from there. Key word: Attempted.
Holy crap did I get lost. I somehow ended up behind the stadium after walking through some pretty sketchy streets. Thats what I get for trying to go from a hotel I have never been to before...to a hotel I've never stayed at before. Eventually i did get back safely and ran upstairs to change into Byakko and then ran to the center for the photoshoot..of which only Evenstar and a Hisoka were present at. We decided to get something to eat so we headed over to the harbor and ate at a mexican restaurant before going back to get some sleep.
Friday I woke up and put on Mukuro. Zipchan and crew were already in line to register so I went over to see where they were in line and hang out with them for a bit. My trident broke as I was walking up to them but it wasn't anything major so I didn't bother fixing it. Stood with them for awhile before going to my own line at the opposite end of the building. Got in line with Eurobeat King and hung out with him for about an hour before they finally opened the doors and let us inside.
Wandered around until the Reborn shoot at noon. Took a bunch of pictures and then got a text message from Rukawagf saying she was getting into Hibari. Headed back to the fountains and got a text from Lynn saying they were just hanging out so I went to find them while I waited for Rukawagf. Found Lynn, Kendall, and Yuenmei and talked with them for awhile and wandered to the fountains to wait for Ruka. Once we met up with her they went off to see friends at the photo suite while I went with her to the dealer's room to get her lunch. Stayed with her for a few hours before running back to my hotel in the rain to change into Byakko for a few hours.
Things were uneventful while in Byakko though there was one point during the day that Genjitsu and I were talking and a photographer wearing a pink shirt walked by. We looked at each other like, "WTF?!" and then he ran off to get Lionboogy to take a picture of him with the other guy. It was hilarious.
Then I changed into Allen to get ready for the private photoshoot and dinner. Headed back to the convention and waited for Evenstar, Zipchan, Lyn and crew. Once we had everyone we headed to the Mexican restaurant again for dinner and epic hilarity ensued. Then we went back to the convention center to wait for Elemental who was going to photograph us. Once she arrived we all went off to get our epic photos. And yes..they were epic and I can't wait to see them. Then we all went off on our separate ways and I decided I would get some sleep.
Saturday was pretty low key. I put on Soul and headed to the convention. Hung out with Zipchan and everyone for awhile. Then I wandered off alone when they had to go get changed. and just wandered around until the Soul Eater shoot. Got insanely hot sitting out in the sun wearing fleece and vinyl. Never again I say. Never again. Need me at a photoshoot in summer? Better be inside.
Once the shoot was done I went back and got into Ken. Wandered around for about an hour before spotting Lionboogy in a corner and went to hang out. Talked for awhile as he ate a hot dog (which later enticed me into buying one as well). Then just hung out until it was time for the Weiss shoot..which was once again outside. But luckily the sun was behind some clouds and it was late enough that it had started to get cool out and so I was comfortable despite the jacket. Met up with the people in my private shoot which ironically enough was Lyn and several of her friends. Stayed at the public shoot until it was time for the private one and headed back to the convention center and met up with Lionboogy again who took us off on a wild and epic adventure though the convention center and neighboring hotel. We got kicked out of two places, and I was mistaken for Wolverine once during the course of it. (total times mistaken for Wolverine: 4) Then we all headed back and I went back to the hotel to get some sleep.
Sunday was stressful. I got up before anyone else and was already packed from the night before so I just got dressed as Yamamoto and went to the con until it was time to check out. Then I ran back to get my bags down to the lobby where a huge check out line had formed. When I finally was able to get upstairs to get my stuff, I need help carrying it. So my roomies helped carry my stuff. One of the elevators was apparently out of order but the repair guy felt so bad for us that he came back down and told us to get in and he would take us all the way to the lobby. LUCKY! Then while I was waiting to get my bags checked Lionboogy walked up needing to check out of his room. We hung out and discussed epic Transformer DragonCon plans. We both managed to get done quickly and headed to the convention.
Once there I met up with Rukawagf in her Gokudera costume and epic photoshoot #3 took place without even realizing it was going to. We asked Lyn to take a couple pictures for us by the windows. As we were in Shonen ai pose #1 aka Gokudera in yamamoto's lap..another photographer game up and asked if she could take pictures. We were like sure! And then she started posing us and got to talking with Rukawagf who had apparently met her at another con..and she took us outside and it became a full blown photoshoot. We even collected a Tsuna and Ryohei as the shoot went on.
Once done I wandered around with Rukawagf and ran into several people who I hadn't even seen over the weekend. Got to say some goodbyes that way..and more pictures occured as Rukawagf thought of them XD ANd then I got the call from GreatSG that it was time to go and so we headed to the fountains where I met up with him and said my goodbye to Rukawagf and headed off to get my stuff loaded and make the drive back.
The drive back was uneventful and so I shall spare you the details. got home around 1AM.

I told my sister about the potential Weiss Kreuz shenanigans in late August and she was interested. I'll let you know more when the time gets closer, but it'll be around August 28 or 29.
