Okay..so I went and saw the movie, but this post is totally not about the movie itself. It is about the funny lady sitting next to me.

Okay...so this family walks in right behind us and ends up sitting in the same row as us, one seat away. So the row looked like this:

My father - Me - empty seat - Lady - Husband - Kid - Kid - seat - etc etc
And her son sits in the row behind them

I don't really think of it at the time, but as the movie rolls on it seems this lady didn't take into account the fact that this movie is rated R.

When Dr. Manhattan's frontal nudity is shown for the first time, childish giggles are heard on the right side of the theature. I merely shake my head and try to ignore.

When the "rape" scene starts I hear small started gasps coming from the woman next to me.
Sex Scene #1 - More murmuring
Sex Scene #2 - "I thought this was a superhero movie..."
Rear nudity - "This is like a soft core porn..."
Sex Scene #3 - Abruptly jumps to edge of seat in effort to cover children's eyes

*cue my own brand of laughter at silly naive woman*

I swear..she said the superhero line about six times through the course of the movie.

Then when the lights came up I saw that the children in her family were roughtly ages 8, 10, and 12. Now tell me...what about an R rated movie screams bring the kids?

I understand she had the misunderstanding that this was another Batman movie..but still..R rated!!

Those poor kids probably won't sleep for a month from just the violence/blood in this movie. Couple of those kids probably don't even know what was going on in those scenes she was so worried about.

But yeah..I don't know what was more entertaining, the movie..or the stupid woman next to me.
