Goodbye Baby
Jan. 9th, 2008 11:26 pmI sold my Fai staff. As of Katsucon it will be in the hands of a new owner.
I got asked to make one and gave them the option of just buying mine for a discounted price. I decided that I really don't plan on using it much anymore and I can always just make another one if I so desire.
If I wear the coat, changes are I'll be doing Celes arc version with the eyepatch anyway. In which case he doesn't have the staff. I mean..he loses it in the second arc so is it really worth keeping around? I'm tired of carrying it around conventions anyway. The coat alone is more then enough to deal with.
So its going away. The staff I made to go with my original Fai outfit some 3 years ago...will only be in my possession for one more month. Its sad really. I'm very very proud of that staff. It was one of the first things I really constructed and said, 'Hey..that actually looks pretty good.' I've gotten more compliments on that staff then any other prop, and even more then some of my costumes. Its had a good run with me...but its time to give it to someone else to enjoy. It was probably just going to sit in the closet for who knows how long anyway...so better it continues to be used and enjoyed, versus just collecting dust.
So goodbye Staff...We've had a good run together. Enjoy your new home.
