Dec. 15th, 2005 08:32 pmTodays weather was miserable. i didn't even make it to work because there was at least an inch of ice on everything. No snow. Just ice and sleet and rain and yuck. I was supposed to close tonight and open tomorrow but everyone told me it would be better if I just didn't go anywhere. I probably would have never made it the hour to Winston.
My grandfather got in an accident down the road from his house. He swerved to avoid a fallen tree and the car went over the ledge and flipped over twice. Luckily it landed on its wheels and he was okay and able to get out and climb up the hill to the house to phone for help. The car is totalled but that was it luckilly. All he was doing was driving the five minutes to the grocery store to get something to eat.
So tomorrow I go to work sometime in the morning whenever I can get in. I'm hoping to leave early since I am supposed to be there at 7..I'm hoping I can get there before 9.
I didn't do a whole lot today. I worked on some cosplay stuff and a christmas present for one of my NY friends. If anyone finds the season M&Ms tin with the plain M&Ms in it, let me know. I have search all over for the thing and can only find the peanut M&M one. My friend and I always exchange the tins. She gives me the peanut M&M one and I give her th eplain one. it is a strange tradition that started quite by accident about 8 years ago. but it is fun and now I can't seem to find the thing. they are different every year and it always has some sort of season M&M theme to it. Its a tin and comes with one of those big bags of M&Ms in it. I need it bad. So keep your eyes open for me. Maybe it is just NC that is lacking in the plain M&M department.
I like that LJ is now giving me 6 icons for LJ now. thats exciting. more variety yay!
Cosplay progress: Got Hakkai's ear cuffs. Just need the monocle. Cloud's wig has arrived, just need to style it. Holster is assembled and just needs the details. All of the main outfit is completed. Edward coat=using Kotori's coat afterall because it fits over the arm better. Replaced the symbol and sewed down the edge. Sasuke pajamas are almost done, one more step to go.
Once all the cosplay stuff is done I can work on the artist stuff. My only wish is that I could figure out what to get everyone for christmas...
