Jul. 3rd, 2004 01:11 amAh pay day. It is a wonderful thing.
Got my Chris wig. Will work nicely.
GOt out of work early because power was shut off on campus.
Got home to find that there are now three more people living in the house for a few days, and Pam will show up tomorrow to make 7 total people in tiny house. I'm sleeping in the computer room for obvious reasons.
Went to the race track down the road aways and saw some car races. Its a pretty nice track. Its paved and is 4/10 of a mile. Watched four different races including one that had Steve Wallace in it, Rusty Wallace's son. (For those not in the NASCAR fandom, Rusty Wallace drives the #2 car) He was leading the race but some of the teams ganged up on him and spun him twice. After the second wreck he was done for the day. He was pissed about it too. We were sitting right across from his hauler and when he got out of the car he went towards the pits that the first guy who hit him was in, but the security detained him. Then he went to his hauler and threw a bottle of water at it, and slammed his fist into his big toolbox. After he had changed clothes he seemed a little calmer.
After the races we watched fireworks. It was a pretty decent firewarks show for being at a racetrack in Elkin.
Now I have three days of relaxation before I have to go back to work. I only work five hours at Joanns this week for some reason, but I'm not really going to complain about it.
