And now...con report! Take 1!
Thursday
Woke up early..as in 8 o'clock and loaded the car. Got a little behind schedule cause I was watching TV XD Left about 9:30 and headed to Hollins to pick up Goku and Sanzo. Got to Hollins close to noon cause I hit traffic about halfway there. Once there..we somehow managed to load 19 costumes and 11 props into my car as well as all the rest of our luggage.

Once we were crammed in we drove the four hours to Baltimore with relatively little incident. Once there we met up with Gojyo who helped us carry all our crap inside with the help of Hinata. Then we changed into Saiyuki and it was off to the registration line! Oddly enough we only spent about 1/2 an hour or so in line. Once our badges were secured, Eurobeat King caught us for a few pictures and then suggested we eat at Hooters. An excellent suggestion indeed!
Hooters was a very enjoyable Thursday activity XD There were food fights, drinking contests, and of course..Gojyo's flirting with the waitresses.
In the end, I was the last one left...drinking. Once everyone had regained consciousness we went back to the hotel and collected all of Gojyo's things so that he could finish his many costumes of the weekend. We hauled everything downstairs and found a quiet corner of the lobby.
While waiting for approval for our corner a man walked by with the hotel manager, compaining about the noise in the room next to him and how he didn't think he should have to leave. He said that the htoel should pay for the inconvenience of having to change hotels and move his car and all this crap. It wasn't even the first day and one can only assume con-goers were causing trouble ^^;;
Once in our corner Reno stopped by to entertain..and frighten the crap out of us by climbing all over the stairwell we were next to. Everytime he said "Ow" I nearly freaked out cause I figured he had fallen on his head or something. That boy is insane. While this was going on, I fixed up Touda's fingers for him and sewed Riku's arm band thingy and became a living dressform for Touda's cape..thingy. I actually wore Touda's fingers for most of the night. They jingle cause they have googilly eyes in them! It is most excellent XD And you can click them together and they make a fun noise.
Once the costume making was basically done (And i was nearly falling asleep on the floor) we packed it up and called it a night. I think it was about 2AM or so.
Friday
Woke up fairly early and got into my Tasuki outfit. Waited for Miaka to get ready and then us and Goku left for the convention at about 9 AM. We basically went straight up to the Photo Suite to take pictures. We were very pleased with the results and one of our pictures even got put on the Photo Suite board outside the room! I'll scan the pictures later so everyone can see them.
Then we headed downstairs to meet up with the others. First we went out to the terrace and took a few pictures. Then we went and caught up with Touda who had a Yami photoshoot to go to at noon. After the photoshoot we headed back towards the fountains to wait for Gaara who had still been getting ready. While we were waiting I saw a group of Bleach cosplayers that I needed a picture of! Only to find out it was Reno and Tsuki_hime and mahiru_chan and the Rukia was last years Natsumi-chan!
We finally found Gaara...or rather I spotted him and ran after him and brought him back. Then we decided to get some lunch at the mall. After lunch we just milled around for a bit until the Fushigi Yuugi photoshoot. The photoshoot started to assemble and we spotted Evenstar coming down the stairs dressed as Suzaku. Unfortunetly the photographers didn't see her, so Tasuki had to do a little god retrival. I pushed through the photographers and guided our dear Suzaku into the center of the photoshoot. Then things got underway!
After the photoshoot we wandered around a little longer before heading back to the hotel to get changed into Final Fantasy. Touda had gone back a little earlier to get into Vincent since it takes him 2 hours! Once we were changed we got back to the con and wandered around before going to the FF: AC shoot. When that started to get a little too insane the private shoot people went off to get pictures. We had a nice group because I grabbed a Cid and Barret that were standing around. Unfortunetly the rest of the group didn't want to wait and so Evenstar missed it which was sad. we had no clones ;_; But we went and took some nice pictures outside before the photographer's camera started to act up.
We went inside to cool down and wait for him to get a replacement camera and when he came back there were two photographers. Vincent, Reno, and Cid had left at that point though but the rest of us went outside and took pictures on the balcony. Omi stayed with me to keep me company and when the photoshoot ended we headed downstairs to find Eurobeat King since he had said to find him after the shoot. I did and he took some pictures of my Cloud and then Omi and I headed back to the hotel.
I changed into Raver Ed and went with kathy and Susan back to the con where they met up with Lynn and Kendall. I took a picture of them in their outfits and then hung out with them until Kathy and Susan headed back to the hotel. I went down to the fountains where I found masayume still hanging out. We talked until almost 2 and then decided to head back to the our hotels. When i got back to the hotel almost everyone was still awake working on things. It wasn't too long after that that we went to bed though.
And thats all for now. Saturday and Sunday can wait ^_^
