Here we go. Con report is a go!
Beware. LOTS OF PICTURES AND CRAZYNESS
Thursday
I worked until 8 then got home and Jensen, Pam and I headed out to play sweapstakes and get dinner. Once we got home it was time to finish up the Kanda coat, Ban shirt and the Eriol vest. While I cursed the coat, Jensen added the buttons to the other costumes for me. Then around 3 AM I got things packed finally and we headed to bed.
Friday
Woke up around 9 and got the car loaded up. I was still able to see out my back window so we did a pretty good job tetrising things in. The ride was fairly unexciting except for this one guy who tried to run us off the road. I was passing him in the fast lane and he was in the slow lane and someone was merging on and I guess he didn't see me or anything because all of a sudden he was in my lane and I was on the rumble strips. The guy behind him made funny gestures when I was back on the road and he pulled up next to us, showing us that he also thought the other driver was an idiot. And when I finally passed that guy he kind of gave this wave of appology and I'm just like..uh..not good enough but whatever.
We got to the hotel about 4 o'clock and Zip wasn't there yet so we headed to Dark's hotel to hang out instead. I steamed Jack for Utai while we waited for her and Cardcaptorkiki to arrive. When they got there we all got into costume (I wore Ginji) and we headed to the convention to get our badges. There was a complete lack of a line which was an amazing switch from last year. After that we met up with Evenstar and headed to a pizza place for some dinner. The walk was a bit further then anticipated but luckily the weather was nie and the food was pretty good. While we were there, Zip called to say that they had arrived.
Did I mention I have awesome new walkie talkies? The other one is Optimus Prime.
It was about 10 o'clock when we headed back to the convention. I snapped a few pics of the Pandora Hearts crew while we were walking. Then when we got back I emptied my costumes into my car out of my suitcase and loaded only what I needed for the night into Evenstar's truck. I decided to leave my car at the convention since the parking was free there and not at the hotel. Evenstar agreed to pick me up and drop me off each day so it worked out well. Once at the hotel I steamed Fai and Eriol and then went to bed.
Saturday
Got dressed into Eriol (Cheshire Cat version) and harrassed Zip with my BRIGHT YELLOW CROTCH. This costume is absolutely hideous.
I'm not sure what CLAMP was thinking. But I got into it and waited for Evenstar arrive so we could head to the convention. Got to the con around 10 and Cardcaptorkiki met up with me and we wandered around trying to find where to sign up for the cosplay contest. Finally got that figured out only to be given a judging time that was only 30 minutes away. So we ran to my car where I threw on the Flame kimono in almost record time and then proceeded to have terrible luck in trying to find where the contest judging was located. When we FINALLY found it they only had about 5 people done and I was entry 12 so we ended up having time to catch our breath and relax for a bit.
The judges were incredibly nice and the one practically fangirlled over me when I told her it was handsewn. I waited for Kiki to finish with her judging and then we went back to my car so I could get out of the kimono and back into Eriol. We then headed to the little park we had found the night before to get some pictures.
I ran into Ichigo while we were wandering around and took them outside to do a little private shoot for them. I loved that everything behind us was under construction XD Seemed so fitting for the turks.
Then we headed back and walked around awhile before I changed back into the kimono. A few people actually recognized who I was supposed to be, so that made me feel good XD. After I changed, we wandered around and stopped to talk to Bur Loire and crew. And as we were all chatting the wind came up and I was like, I could have epic wind action! Only it wasn't epic because my butt cape is too heavy. So like..everyone came and helped me have epic wind action XD
So then we went and lined up and the contest was an hour late in starting which was very annoying. The contest is very strange because you walk around outside in front of all the people that are sitting in the stands above you. It is kind of nerve wrecking and I was trying to be very careful not to trip over my kimono.
After the contest I got changed into Mukuro and went off to meet up with Evenstar and Jensen for some Hitman Reborn photoshoot times. We actually had a pretty cool group. I didn't get any pictures on my camera though because I was being lazy. But while we were waiting some crack happened...which really isn't that surprising because in certain costumes..crack is just what happens with me XD.
I got to ride Dino's turtle. Onward mighty stead!
I also sat in Reno's lap and molested just about everyone. Hey..I'm Mukuro. It's what I do. So then we went outside and took some pictures but it was like..9 at night so I have no idea how they are going to turn out. But I did find one.
I got to try and take Tsuna's body but was unsuccessful.
I chased Hibari at one point and managed to keep up pretty good but by the time we came to a stop my poor Trident had broken a little and so I was worried about it the rest of the night. I'll have to fix it before I wear the costume again. But after awhile I got a call from Kiki saying they were hungry and ready to meet up again...but then promptly forgot as soon as I hung up the phone and spent another 30 minutes at the photoshoot before running off to meet up with them.
Then there was a big food dilemna. Dark and Utai went off to get the food while Kiki and Alicat and I hung out and wandered around but then we got a call saying that they couldn't find McDonalds and had almost hit a cop in trying to do so. So we were without food and Kiki went off with Dark and Utai to go back to their hotel and find some food. Me and Alicat decided to see if Pizza Hut was still open but ALAS! We were foiled. So giving up we both decided to head back to our hotels. I had to wait for Evenstar to finish with her doll meet though.
Once that was done I headed back to the hotel and met up with Ichigo so that I could finish her Kanda belt. Apparnetly we were being too loud at one point because one of the hotel staff knocked on her door and told her that he had receieved a noise complaint. We were like.WTF? I then headed off to my own room to get some sleep.
Sunday
Headed to the convention in Eyeshield 21..only there was a bit of a problem. There was a marathon going on down the main streets that we would take to get to the con..and it blocked my hotel. So Evenstar couldn't get to me. So I had to walk with the marathon runners..in my football costume..lugging my suitcase. I kept along with them and on the phone with Evenstar until we figured out a street that I could go down that she could also go down. The runners looked at my funny but I was just like WHAT? My pants are no tighter then yours!. I was tempted to grab some gatorade from one of the tables and pour it over my head just so I felt like I fit in.
Finally I found Evenstar and we got to the convention and I organized my car a little before heading to meet up with Kiki, Utai and Dark. We wandered around the dealer's rooms for a little while and then we decided to change into Fai and Kurogane for the LOLZ. So I went back to my car and got into the costume and got the pieces for Kiki to put on Fai. We then wandered around hand and hand taking crack photos. One person asked for a pic and we were like..I don't know how to pose! Because it was just that strange for both of us. So she was like, you can hug or something..so we did the most rediculous hugging pose ever.
And then we took pics.

So when we were done, they all decided to head out so I changed back into Eyeshield. As I was heading down the stairs to find Ichigo to say goodbye, she found me instead XD As we were talking I heard this to my side..
Girl: Eyeshield! It's Eyeshield!
And liked 3 asian girls totally fangrilled over me as they were coming down the stairs and were fumbling for their cameras and stopped to take my picture. It was terribly adorable. This costume always gets great reactions and I had more pictures taken of this, then anything else over the weekend.
Then Bur Loire showed up and was like..OMG my photog is no where and I don't know what to do. So I was like..dude, I'll take some pics for you. And so off we went to find a cool place and I could become cool photog.
So once I was done with that I said my goodbyes and headed to the parking garage where Jensen was already hanging out and talking to friends. So I met up with her, stripped off Eyeshield and we headed home with another unexciting car ride (this time without the being run off the road).
And that was momocon!
