Denied

My claim for Medicaid has been denied. I do not meet the disability qualifications.

WTF. I can't work because I spend two to three days out of my work week in a doctor's office. The doctor is the one that said I should apply and should get it. What more do I need to be considered diabled? Cut off one of my arms?

this has been one hell of a week..and now i have to worry about paying $30,000 worth of bills on my own..shit

Speak to your doctor about it. Ask him to write a letter, if he hasn't already. Sometimes that's all it takes.

Though I know it doesn't necessarily help to say this, I will anyway: don't worry and don't stress - both those things do no good. Hang in there, darling.

You might look to see if there are advocacy groups in your area. Not sure about Medicaid but everyone I've ever met who was approved for disability needed a lawyer to get it.

Just like everything, you're going to have to fight it. >.<;; If you keep pressing, I'm sure it'll be okay. ♥

I never needed a lawyer. However, I did need a doctor's letter. Go complain to your doctor and get him to write a letter.

I can tell you as a fact that I think it's policy that they turn down people for disability benefits the first few times they apply. My mom had MS and had to apply for it over and over... and I heard the same from other MS people. Some of them couldn't even walk. You just have to keep applying. Give it over to a lawyer.

Then again I'm thinking of Social Security disability... so... I don't know. =(
